Would a tank with the following dimemsions be ok for a pair of motoros?
96"L x 32"W x 15"H
I know it is a bit shallow. A fellow near by is selling his acrylic tank. I think he may have used it to grow out coral frags.
Thanks.

I think it should be alright, its got good width which is most important in my opinon but I don't think you need as much hight. Anyone else?

the shallowness doesnt matter so bad, that should be fine. i mean motoros get pretty big, but that would house a pair very comfortably for a long time

Thanks for the input.
He is going to send me some pics soon of the tank. He said it's not a display aquarium and the plumbing would need some adjustment.

That should be fine for a couple motoro's. I housed several in a tank that was 18" tall.
15" is acceptable. Like the others said, length and width is most important, and you'll have plenty of both.

I think thats a great size. I bet you could keep two or three pairs in that tank with the right filtration.

Well, I received some pictures of the tank today. It is a sweet tank but there are 3 vertical support pieces on the front and back walls of the tank. These are perpendicular with the tank walls and look to be about 2-3" wide. I think these sticking out could cause problems for the rays as mine like to climb the front glass a lot. Plus, all the sides are coated with coraline algae. If the tank didn't have the vertical pieces, I would buy it in a heart beat as the price is right. I am going to look into a local acrylic tank manufacturer for a 6'x3' tank now.
