Hey guys I'm new. Well I currently have 4 discus fish in my 75 gallon tank. I have 2 Aquaclear 110 filters. I do a 50% water change every other day. I bought these fish from liveaquaria.com. I was looking at the stunted fish "sticky" and I dont believe they are stunted so I do believe they will grow even more. I want to add maybe 4 or five more and was wondering what size tank I should upgrade to to allow all fish to grow out to adulthood?

Once I find my camera I'll post pics of the 4 discuss to confirm their not stunted. Thanks

The general rule for discus is about 1 per 10 gallons. But with discus the less fish, the less work. I would probable have a total of 6 in a 75 gallon but you could do 7 or 8 but i would say 9 is the max

hey guys like i said i'm new. well when i got my discus fish they were all kinda the same size, but since then one has grown bigger and is currently the biggest of them all. i've noticed that it doesnt have a smooth sloping head like the rest or on pictures i've looked at on the web. is this a deformity or a problem? other than that everything else seems okay. Thanks

in general, they don't grow the same rate. The stronger gets more food and grow faster. sometimes the stronger claims its own food and won't let anyone get any his/her own food :). it's part of cichlid i guess. so pay a little attention and make sure they all get food.

it a "mild" lump i guess i will call it on its forehead. i really dont think its stunted. it has the smallest and is the biggest one.

i hope its not stunted. i swear its grown some since i got it. oh yeah how do you edit previously posted threads. my last thread sounded "slow".
