Tank size?

What's a minimum tank size for 2gsp's and 1 figure 8 they are still currently in freshwater until my mom buys the tank she's gonna get for them.but the tank is a 42gallon column will that be enough?

30g minimum for each GSP. The F8 lives in different conditions & could easily be killed by an adult GSP, 3x it's size.
