I have a question about a tank stank. I have a 50 gallon breeder and a 35 gallon cube tank. Me and my dad made a stand for the 50 gallon breeder and it turned out pretty nice. Then decided to make one for the tank in my room(the 35 gallon). But I also decided to get another 50 gallon breeder tank and use that one for my room. So I get home and my dad already made a stand for the 35 gallon tank.

My question is can I still use this stand if I just put a sheet of plywood on top of the stand so it covers the footprint of the stand?

Fishfreak is correct. Me personally though if the diference is only an inch or two or not that far off i would do it.

What are the measurements of tank and stand?

The stand footprint is 26" x 26"
The New tank will be 36" x 18"

Well I'll need to get a new stand then!!!!

Their is no way I can just nail a sheet of plywood onto the stand so it supports the whole tank??

I dont think I would chance that much. No not 10 inches. 2 or 4 inches or length maybe but that much I wouldnt chance it. I would say better safe then sorry build a new stand.
