So I am setting up a sweet aquarium wall in my dinning room and have a few questions before the tank is considered "built in". So I am converting a built in full wall entertainment center with fireplace into an aquarium wall with fireplace. BUT after I have set the 220gal aquarium in place I see that over the span of the underside I have almost a 2mm to 3mm gap in the center. So I had the carpenter here tonight looking at how to finish it all in correctly and he recommend me not to try to correct the sag as it my damage the other wood, but he did think the way it is constructed I would have no problems with supporting up to 2500lbs. So here is my question, how is the best way to make a more level support under the tank? I have seen people use styrofoam, but I am not sure how that can really spread the load. I have also considered using a floor leveling compound under the aquarium and placing a thin finished board over the compound. So what do you guy recommend and think?
