Tank stand

Just bought a 72 x 18 wrought iron metal stand. When i put my 125 gallon tank on the stand in the middle there is a gap from the stand to tank about half a inch. It looks to be the stand is bowed when you get to the middle of the stand. Is this normal on these stands or not? Thanks in advance.

in my experience ive not had one of those stands do that... but a picture would help clarify what you mean exactly

If it's empty, I would test fill outside to see what happens. Last thing you want is a stand failing and 125g on the floor.

Before you fill it you should put some poly in between the tank and stand, this will allow the tanks weight to be evenly distributed across the stand.Your lfs should have some.
