i got the sump bubbles figured out, but my water still has a buncha free floating crap:irked: . ive been doing 50% changes bi-weekly but ive stepped it up to weekly recently. im pushing 650 gph(sump) with AC500 also(?gph). its like their is too much current in the tank (90) and the crap doesnt want to settle in the gravel. im picking up a fine mesh filter pad for the sump today so that should help. im thinking of repoving the AC, do you guys think it will hurt the tank??? its pretty much a gunker anyways, just removes the big stuff. ive got all the bio i need in the sump. i dont want to resort to chemicals either. i just did the big wc yesterday, i think im being impatient about the water settling down...:nilly: . what can i do guys?

I'm kinda with u on this my tanks clearing up sence i added some more scrubbies to it but i still have some floating crap in my tank.. i guess i just need to rinse my media out when i do a water change maybe thats why?

anybody else wanna help???

Don't remove the filter, take everything out of it and stuff it with poly-fil. It could take a week or two to get it under control with waste generators swimming around in there too.

Use the poly-fil for the fine filter in the sump also...cheap from a sewing store or wallyworld. Sewing stores have it on a roll and different thicknesses too.

Of course you could spring for a Diatom filter <$100 on ebay.

i wasent saying remove the filter just some of the media and wash it out in your w/c water that pop it back in

not really steal one but borrow it without permission hehehe. id bring it back.

They could make that out of softer plactic or use a soft coupler if they wanted to.

Glad you could get it fixed quick.
