I want to set up a 450 gal South American Theme Tank. I have chosen the different species I want to stock this tank with.

They are as listed below:

Chalceus erythrurus
Geo redheads
Lamontichthys llanero
Pterophyllum altum
Uaru koppel heros sp

My questions regarding these different fish are:

1.) Should I get all juvies, introduce them all into the 450 gal tank at the same time?

2.) Should I get all juvies, put them in separate growout tanks for a specified period of time and then put them all in the 450 gal tank?

Any other plausible suggestions and/or ideas related to these questions will be appreciated.
Thank you,
~ David

Yes, it is a nice tank idea. I never saw this video, until you pointed it out. The idea may not be an, but I have never raised any of these fish, combined or separate. I would like to try something new to me and I figured I would give this a try.

Your reply does not seem to have a plausible answer to my questions, so what is your point?

anyone have any advise in regards to my questions (initial post)?

if possible, I would grow them all up together. I have had better luck with fish that grew together versus being added as adults. Plus, I couldn't stand to have a monster tank like that sit empty for a year while I grew out the future occupants.

Sensible enough. Thank you.
