Hey guys! Quick question. I just received 16 tiger silver dollars from a friend for free. All around the size of 2-3". After adding them, my stocking is at:

1-albino aro(6-7")
2-bala sharks(4-6")
2-BDxHEN cross Ray's (6")
16-tiger silver dollars (2-3")

They are all currently in my 8x3x2 360 gallon

Do you think this is overstocked? I think it's a beautiful group. But dont want to be over stocked either.
Right now for filtration is 3 fx6 filters. But in 2 weeks I'll have the rest of my stuff to sump my tank with a 75 gallon sump and around 3600gph turn over. Packed with biohome ultimate, filter socks, etc.

Advice and comments appreciated! :)Screenshot_20200418-235852_Messenger.jpg

For now it seems ok but ALL of those fish have growing to do. Eventually you'll have to thin out your stock, otherwise you'll not be able to keep up with water changes to keep your nitrate in check.

In the meantime keep your eye on your nitrate before each water change, maybe test once per month for now as they grow. Over the coming months it'll slowly creep up. Then you'll either have to up your water change schedule and/or thin out.

Its all about water quality and stability, since none of your fish are overtly territorial.
As long as ammonia and nitrite are undetectable, and nitrate is low you are probably fine.
If soon after a water change your nitrate soars from 5-20ppm nitrate overnight, or pH immediately drops like a rock, then I would re-evaluate stocking levels

Someone was trying to tell me I need to cut down the silver dollars to 8-10 because they're bioload will become to much for my tank with other fish and they get big.
Well, what are your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels?
As long as you can keep nitrate at 20ppm or below, you’re fine.

You should be ok. May have thin out as some get bigger but otherwise it looks amazing. Wish someone gave me 16 of those for free
