Anyone here own a Hagen tank that has seems in the corners of the top and bottom frames?,,,,,,,I know this is way they are manufactured, but what gives the tank its strenght?,,,,IMO the frames should be one piece to give the support that is needed, especially in larger tanks where the pressue is greater. So is the tank ok, or should I support it somehow?,,,,all imput is appreciated,,,,,( tank is 108 gal. ) 60x24x18

hagen is a well known company and i doubt they would sell a falty product i would worry about a monster fish or a big rock breaking the glass long before i woried about the frame failing. look at all the tanks in the stores in asia or amano tanks with no frame only glass and silicone.

I don 't own a hagen that big, but i have alot of their 5, 10, 15 and 20 gallons...I find the black plastic rim and bottom are poorly sealed...they often fall off...when they do...i notice the glass panels are not always even...it has never worried me much as i said the largest one i own is 20 gal...

I have some pix in my gallery of a tank where the seam split that i repaired using an "L" bracket. Its easy to do so it might be a good idea to do it for insurance.
