Tank suggestions

So i recently set up a new tank for convicts, which I got at a very cheap price custom built, but now that I know I can get tanks quite cheaply, ive been thinking about a bigger tank on the empty desk I have, which measures 55 inch lengthways.

Its just a thought at this stage, but the dimensions would be 55 inch length, 15 inch depth, 15 inch height, I'd be leaning towards bigger cichlids if possible.

Stocking suggestions?

Salvini would look nice in that size tank JD would fit as another alternative. Or a group of firemouth

Thanks for the suggestion I recently seen a small Salvini in my local fish shop, about an inch long, hadn't developed any colours; which is why it hadn't been bought for about 2 weeks. So so tempted to buy it but had to resist as I know it would decimate my current tank lol.

Oh I thought you wanted something other than cons. If you want tank mates for the cons get the JD or firemouth

Sorry, no I recently set up a separate convict tank, but this would be a new empty tank

A group of 6 or so female Salvini siblings would work well and look great IMO.

+1 on salvini's great looking fish with great color.

I have to agree the Salvini would be great, but a few others would be a Cuban, Texas and as already mentioned a Jack Dempsey and Firemouth.
