When you guys move fish from tank to tank in your house do you follow the same procedure as if it a new fish acclimating it to the tank.

No, but if they are sensitive fish might wanna just acclimate them, but you shouldnt have any issues... I've done it countless times and never lost a fish... Even moving fish from area code to area code.. Just be sure to keep the cycle going in the new tank w/ filters, water, etc...
You know the water source, temp and chemistry of both tanks, so you should be ok. But I still acclimate them.
