Looking into a some sort of unconventional layout with 24", or, 30" deep water and another another 8" or so of wall for above water for plants or so. Not really a terrarium but more like a builtin aquaponic on top of the tank. Ideally, the tank would be 8' (l) x 2' (d) and 36" (t). Not sure what thickness glass OR acrylic . Probably would prefer 30" deep water as I may have 4-5" or substrate, so at 30" deep, minus the substrate, there will still be 24" of water for the fishes to swim in.

Thanks for helping.

What was the bow on the tank like? That's a ballsy manufacturer

I'm a bit skeptical of that poster's memory, can't tell from the pictures what the acrylic thickness is. Most acrylic manufacturers use 3/8ths minimum on any tank over 4 feet long and 20-24 inches high. I just found a couple old posts on other forums by people that had Clarity Plus tanks that were 96X24X30 in their possession at the time of the post saying they were 1/2 and 3/4 inch thick tanks. Years ago, when I had my aquarium store, I special ordered a tank of that size from Clarity Plus for a customer who wanted to pass on TruVu because he'd had crazing issues in the past. I cannot for the life of me remember the thickness, but I suspect it was 1/2 inch at a minimum (it was definitely thicker than my 125s I had in the shop which were 20 inches high and 3/8 inch acrylic). We both would have freaked if the tank had arrived with 1/4 inch thick walls. That tank ended up crazing anyway as well.

My 450 96"x36"x30" tall is 3/4 acrylic sides and top. It has three two by two openings. Quite solid
