Great advice were did you hear that lol
Comen sense tells you you will lose power from head height and pump sizes
Just look at wattage to see how much each pump will cost to run
Make sure you can fit the pump in your sump
I use the pond pump types with the plastic cage around them that acts as a pre filter in a pond I strip all the plastic off and place the bare pump in the sump
Also don't just use 1 pump use 2 or more so if one stops you have something still running
Buy spare impellers for all the pumps just incase as you don't want to wait a week for a new one to be delivered
Impellers are the only thing that ever go in pond pumps and some are expensive but others are cheap
My 18,000 lph pump the impellers are £18 the 30,000 lph pump the impeller is £56 so find out part prices before buying all my pumps have impeller shaft and everything in a sealed unit
Get the biggest drains put in your tank when you set it up then you can add more flow if needed the worst thing you can do is get a tank made and the drains can't keep up with the flow
More flow will air the water better and will if I remember right keep the redox high
But keep it simple the more flow the better
