tank updates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Good stuff, I have pothos hanging into a couple of my tanks, I'm sure it doesn't do much as far as controlling nitrogen but it looks good. I wish it would grow taller instead of longer though. I'm always trying to hang the stocks/branches on stuff to keep it out of the way

Give pothos specific light/dark cycles and be amazed at what it does with nitrates. I have it on all of my tanks and the one that I managed to give a completely dark schedule has inch thick stems and 9-10" leaves.

wow thats crazy, and that is from complete dark eh? there is a parking garage right next to my building so the best i can get it sort of dark o_O

I had some pothos growin in one of my tanks that happen to be close to a window, that thing had leaves on it 12 inches across. It works very good at removing nitrates.

Jud, cool setup!

I've got pothos growing on two of my setups (few other threads w/ pics on it here).

Obviously they do use nitrates, but I can't measure it. My tanks don't exceed 20ppm with or without them. Regardless, they provide benefits for the tank, your home and your eyes because they look good IMO.
