Hi guys n girls im going to be upgrading my 5x1.5x2 soon to an 8x2x2 with sump i was wondering if i could use my fx5 with only polishing pads in it as a return pump? Sorry if its a silly question but im new to using sumps lol.cheers

Sure y not. Will be a good mechanical fliter to compliment your sump. When I had my 6'x2' tank in did the same combo as you described. Water was crystal clear and fish were happy.
