tank water question

Say that my tank is cycled, and i have 6 discus in my 55g and 1 silver aro.
I have an AC 110 and AC 70 running. Do i still have to do daily water changes? If so how much?
I was planning to change my water every 5 days 50%. Would this be fine?

first, i dont know how big it is but you need to think about getting that aro out of there within the next month. after the aro is out, water change once a week should be fine, till than once every few days should be fine.

Discus and Aro? Thats a first...Do you have a test kit? Best if you have one of those. Those would tell you when it is best to change your water.

yea i use an API test kit, and ive seen people done it before with discus with aro and it inspired me. My aros very shy, thats why i attempted this.

The 55g wil be cramped soon though. How big are the discus? If below 4 inches do daily water changes.
