Tank water smells like Rotten Eggs! Help.

I checked my PH levels, and they were low. I added Proper PH 7.0, and also added Amquel tap water conditioner due a recent water change. I came back about an hour later, and my entire room smells like rotten boiled eggs. what can it be?

Well,the compounds in most dechlors smell like sulfer(rotten eggs).Could be that.Smell your amquel out of the bottle.

Would adding carbon to my filters help get rid of the smell?? I wont be able to sleep in there until that smell goes away!

You can use aquarium carbon and put into your filtration unit to Get rid of the odor, after u find out what it is.

hydrogen sulfide. you could try a large water change with distilled water
