okay so my 180 went out of cycle. i noticed my water got milky. im currently running a FX5 and a 30 gallon sump. right when i discovered this i did a 50% water changed went out and bought stability.

so my question is this.. should i do a water change everyday and add stabilty daily. or should i just leave the water let it cycle and add stabilty daily w.o water change.

any advice whould be greatly appreciated.

thanks

did water test nitrite is at .25 and ammonia is in between 0 - 0.25

If you change the water daily, you'll never get your ammonia and nitrite levels high enough to restart the cycle. If you can keep the levels below 1ppm for each, you should be able to cycle the tank in 4 weeks or so without harming the fish too much. You could also add something like AmmoLock, although it'd be expensive to dose such a big volume of water.

Best thing to do now: leave the water as it is, add stability, test ammonia daily, if its detectable, dose 5x Prime, repeat until ammonia shows ZERO.
