tank width??

would 36" be wide enough for motoro's if the tank was 14 feet long? say bout 27" high.

no..... if you have ever actually seen a large motoro you would understand more.... 48" is really needed for a motoro....

ive seen em and thought the 36" was a questionable width. i'll just stick to my original plans for a 7'x6' pond for now.

I know the suggested size of Motoros and how large the possibility is for them to get.
But I have seen them (even with a reputable breeder) 4-5 years old in ponds that were
only 18-20" disks.
I am not second guessing anyone, when I get my large pond/tank it will be at least 48" also.
Just an observation and throwing it out there.

my friend joe has a motoro almost 24" across.... bertha the beast she is in a 8x4x2 pond and she makes that pond look small... there is no way she could be in a 36" wide tank or pond..

How old is she? I would bet she is atleast 10+ years old to be that size.

I was gearing more towards us normal people with normal tank sizes. Frank has an aquatic zoo at his place.
