I just moved my poly's from a tank with african chiclids into there own tank and was wondering what shoulf the decor be for them, is heavly planted tank good way to go ?

There was a thread about this a few weeks ago. It kind of comes down to personal preference. I have alot of driftwood and just recently added lots of plants to my tank and it looks good, but the polys like to hide so I don't see them like I would in a bare bottom tank.

What kind of bichir delhezi? Mine are always out swimming around. Hiding spots are never an issue. Most people say to use sand substrate so that they don't swallow a stone picking through gravel, but I have had success with both sand and gravel with no problems. Driftwood and plants would be fine. They won't mess up your plants. I like java fern. It really makes the tank look nice under the lights.

My sens and ropes are the only ones that stay out in the open. My ornate is starting to come out more, but my p. polli's and delhezi's stay hidden 90% of the time.
