My wolf fish is doing soooo much better now. Again, I would like to thank everyone who gave me tips! The fins have fully grown back, he seems to be flaring them out often as if he's stretching. The swimming behavior has improved tramendously as well. He swam up last night and snagged some shrimp from me. I'm a happy camper again. I'll try and take some updated pictures tonight for you all. He's probably grown a couple inches.

These new pictures actually turned out GREAT, I think. Anyways, I'll give a before (sick) picture and after (healthy) pictures. You can actually notice the tail regeneration in the fins if you look closely. Again he's doing great now!

That's fabulous, congrats!

Please post what worked for you at the end, what contributed to the recovery?

nice!

Pretty straight forward on the recovery process. The temperature was turned up to 80-84, Did at least 50% water changes every 2-3 days, and added salt to the tank after every water change. I also left the light off for a week or so to reduce stress on the fish. Recovery process took roughly a week and a half to two weeks. During this time the hoplias did not eat at all.

Finnage looking much better. He looks very happy, and I hope he colors up for you soon.
