I've kept several bichirs for a while in 100g, and 3 endlis are among them, others are ornate and sens; I know endli will be the biggest of all soon or later; therefore I am planning to upgrade very very soon; and so what is the min tank size required for endlis for life?
will 200 galls be enough?
those who has experience pls share info,
cheers

get a tank with the biggest foot print long wide short and depend on how many you plan to keep - mine are 130x36x18 96x32x18 84x28x20 my biggest tank has 8 bichirs Endies, lap ,ornat 22 to 28 inches 10 years standing.

i would say 240-250 gallon should work just keep with the filtration

ok, here is what I've got today, I got the glass with dimension :
180 cm x 90 cm for the foot print (10 mm)
180 cm x 45 cm for both sides length (8 mm), and
90 cm x 45 cm for both sides width (8mm),

I picked up this dimension from the DIY tank forum (thanks to the glass thickness calculator), which would give me almost 200 galls,
I could not get anything more than 8mm cause it costs me too much, (those glass are spare glass at my work, just hv to buy a bit more)
so anyway I would probably keep bigger bichirs in that tank, which are 3 endlis and 3 ornates only, the rest I would keep in the 100 galls (sens, longfinned, and albinos)
well I hope it would work just fine, what do you guys think?
