tankmate compatibility

i can get asilver arowana 15 cm, i could also get a spotted gar about same size.

they would be going into my 280 gal tank for 6 months till i upgrade to my 10 by 2 or 3.
can this work?/
also any other tank mates i could include.

it is also possible i can get more than one of either.
just wondering what can live with eachother.

No experience with gars myself, most of the more knowledgeable members in the gar sub-forum don't recommend keeping gar and aro together.

gars can work but i dont suggest it and bichirs,datnoid,rays,sum characins,PBs work
