Ive got a 7 inch silver.
so far ive had to get rid of my 4 inch oscars, got some blue gourami and after an hour in the tank they started nipping each other then my aro. pulled them out.:nilly: Currently in a 55 gal. will upgrade when he gets bigger.
I would like something that wont sit on the bottom. maybe an eel, rubber eel maybe. Dunno if eels and aros would be a bad idea. stumped for now.
I suppose i can try some angels. I have an irridescent but he has just been hiding in the corner. :( At the shop they are always moving.
Thoughts?
 
btw all ive ever really had for fish is oscars and africans, not familiar with that many fish. looked around i net for a while about tankmates but still havent seen any matches i might like. really more into movement than color, thus my choice of an aro
 
you mean like a bicher? they seem neat but from what i can tell after they get a couple inches they just crawl into a hiding spot. a friend of mine grew one from 2 inchs to about 16 without knowing it because it crawled inside of a ship.
 
try a clown knife or p. senegals, i think they're the most active and playful of the polys
