Hey Guys,

I'm getting a black wolf tomorrow. Going to be stocking it in a 125. Is there any bottom feeder that I can get to sift through the sand? The sand in my tank gets algae build up even with a powerhead in the tank.

Thanks!

Maybe a ray because don’t think much else will survive with a curupira. Hopefully you’ll be upgrading from the 125g if just a solo fish and if getting tankmates it even a ray then larger real estate is needed.

Maybe too much light on in the tank?

The ray won’t sift the sand but will disturb it. That’s why I suggested it.

Well I wouldn't recommend a curu for a tank with width any less than 2' maybe more if you manage to grow it to its potential. Only large fish that come to mind that may sift through the sand is geos or giraffe cat. But from their its going to depend on your specific wolf's personality if they'll live.

I keep mine with shrimp and Endlers.
He eats everything that’s the size of Massivore and larger, ie the Endler females reach maturity and reproduce, but don’t grow old. It’s a stable colony.
