Tankmate for Ctenopoma?

I need some tank mate ideas for 4 ctenopoma in a 75 gallon.

Also in the tank are poly's and a african knifefish but they don't bother anything.

I need something that will stay near the middle of the tank. The ctenopoma are still shy 1.5 years later and stay near the ground or near the rocks most of the time. My looks bare when it really is pretty stocked haha.

Anyone got any ideas. I thought about some sort of smaller cichlid, but then I remembered I had a kribensis with them once and he ate some of the guys eyes. meh

any ideas????

When i kept them i used to house 3 at around 3-4" in a 120 gal tank which i was growing out a silver arowana, and i had 10 datnoids in with them, make great tankmates.

Also had loads of L# plecos, true parrot cichlids, fire eels and a few other peaceful species.

I've kept mine with a Black Ghost Knife, Clown Loaches, Gold Nugget Pleco and a Senegal Bichir.
