I am going to be moving my green texas to a empty 55gal. in a couple of days and was wondering what other type of cichlid would be an OK tankmate for it.......It is around 4inches......I was at my lfs and they had a red devil/midas there the same size .......would that be to aggresive?.....any suggestions would be great............

P.S.-This won't be a permanent tank....it will be upgraded when it needs it...........

RD would not only be too aggressive, but also get too big. Maybe get it a mate?

yea now that i was thinking about it a midas was a dumb idea:screwy: ........i don't want a mate......im looking for something else to go with it .....another cichlid............

yea i like the green terrors a lot but the only ones i can find around here are about half the size of my green texas...........

Jack dempsey, Convicts ( or similar species of your choice), Cubans, Gramodes,salvini,ect... There are ALOT of cool new world cichlids that would work. I think a salvini or a gramode would go good the gramode might be a bit too much for the texas depending on the fish's personality.

If you need more names just let me know ;)
