Hi, are there any plecos that won't bother a stingray? I am in need of an algae eater that WON'T suck on a stingray.....if possible. Thanks!!

how about a flagtail? not sure see what others say

Not sure, sounds good to me. I am just getting back into freshwater and don't know much about different kinds of plecos.

i was told not to keep plecos and stingrays together, though i've heard of quite a few that have and had success. Just make sure the pleco is bigger than your stingrays mouth, otherwise it'll be seen as a snack

(Awaous banana), the river goby is supposed to be a good choice, this question was posted elsewhere so here is the same picture that I used there. The pic is by J. Van Tassel. They get up to a foot long and eat mainly algae. They are found from Puerto Rico and the south easter USA down through Central America.

I have a stingray and a group of plekos in my tank and they live in peace. My tank is 190 gal. and I have plants only on the other end. Ray likes to swim in the open space and the plekos are happy in the jungle. However the tank stays clean both ends. In my case the plekos came first and ray had to fit in.. :woot:
