i have a 65 gal tank with one gold severum.
can i keep a breeding pair of smaller cichlids with the severum.
i like firemouths, rainbows and kribs. any help would be apprerciated :)

Kribs would work well. So would bolivian rams, curviceps, and several others. I wouldn't get anything as big as firemouth. They are surprising large as adults.

I agree with this! The Thorichthy's get fairly aggressive too when breeding which could cause havoc on a Sev.

Look for angel rams. They are quite impressive. I have an electric blue jack dempsey, and I think he would do well with a severum--but that might not be true for all electric blues, they seem a little temperamental.

Agree on the use of Curviceps or any of the other smaller acaras, they really don't have too much aggression, and most aren't going to be bullied too badly by severums
