Tankmate ideas for my boring 90 gal??

So my 90 gal is a bit boring and I would like to add some more active fish.

Here is my current stock and what they do or don't do.....LOL

1 18" pleco that kinda just sits around
1 pink gourami that just hovers around
1 gold gourami that just chills in a corner
5 clown loach that hide in the caves unless it's feeding time
2 pictus cats that hide in the back of the tank 24/7
5 zebra danios that actually move around the entire tank!!!!

I have an xp 2 and xp3 for filtration, UV sterilizer, and 2 power heads for some extra flow.

Any suggestions on how to spice up the tank? I know the clowns will get BIG, but that will be quite some time as they are all around the 3" mark. With the current stock and filtration I have no bio load problems, plus I do PWC every four days.

I prefer cats, hence the RTC in my pond but I don't think I need any "bottom fish" in the 90 gal. Except for the danios the middle to top levels of the tank are dead. I would like to add some active swimming fish that like the middle to top region.
 
you could up your school of danios. other than that i dont know. good luck
 
Mascara barbs or also called filament barbs. Males are very pretty with their green sheen. They get around 6 inches and are always moving in the tank they are fast as hell. Also check out some Aurilus barbs. Google both and try to get pics of adults as their full color will show. You could easily do half a dozen of both of them in your 90.
 
Giant danio's or bosemans rainbows are fun and awesome to watch fast schooling swimmers.
 
Maybe add onto your Clown Loach Group add about 3 -5 more or to your Zebia Danios .

Why not a couple more Gourami , Eg - a Blue or a couple of Banded or Chocalate . :)

Or about a small school of about 8 - 10 Arulius Barbs or a school of Black Widow tetra or Emperor Tetra .
You might be able to get few morre than 8 - 10 Of these fish depending on which ones you like , if any .

The African Knife idea is a good choice , IMO or what about a Small/ Medium size Eel ?
