Tankmate(s) for Male Convict

I have a male convict in a 29 gal tall.
He seems bored and I don't want to hassel with breeding by getting a female con.

I like tiger barbs, but would they nip his fins?

What would you suggets as possible tankmates?
What kind and how many?

You should be fine with Tiger Barbs...just try getting a school of 4-5 of them. This supposedly lessens the fin-nipping.

You could also try some type of Danio (giant, zebra, etc...). Convicts don't grow big so I wouldn't think the danios would be eaten eventually.
