My larger tank right now is a 125g. Filtration is an Eheim pro II 2028 connected to a couple of marineland biowheels, an Eheim Wet/Dry 2229, a Quicksand fluidized bed filter, and a couple of aquaclear quickfilters. It currently houses a 20" silver aro, a 14" tiger shovelnose ,an 8" redtail cat, and an 8" bumblee cat anyone have any suggestions for tankmates? :feedback:

your tank is well-stocked already, i wouldnt think of adding any more large fish, and small fish will be devoured, and in 6 months teh tank will be drastically overstocked. look into more tanks, not more fish.

"Jesus H Christ, WTF sort of Micky Mouse sh** is this?" ~R. Lee Ermey~ Ummmm....yeah.....agreed, tried a RT Cat and didn't even have the other cats you have. You might get a month or maybe a couple before they're exploding out of the tank. Although, I never believed how fast they grew till I tried keeping one. HELLA FAST....RUN :grinno:

I agree w/ you guys about the tank i'm working on something bigger but those cat's only grow as fast as you let them i've had the shovelnose for about 2 years now, at their size they only need to eat about once or twice a week :)

I got my RTC 5 months ago at just over 14". He's now 18". And, that's with only feeding him 2 to 3 times a week. How do you plan on stunting yours? You already got the "get bigger tank" response from multiple posters. I don't think you'll find any responsible fish-keepers that will tell you anything differently.

those cat's only grow as fast as you let them

seriously...thats cruel...

those cat's only grow as fast as you let them
if that logic was factual, keeping hordes of monster fish in 10gs would be a common practice wouldnt it?

i wouldn't want to guess about all the internal organ problems your tiger shovelnose has...
