can i keep a senegal with a chinese algae eater? can my senegal be placed with any algae eater without getting its slime coat eaten away?

no, algae eaters eventually will kill your fish when they grow up. so i've been told

I wouldn't do a Chinese algae eater, but a Siamese algae eater would probably be OK. They're pretty good with most any fish.

Chinese algea eater would NEVER be able to kill a Senegalus, i have kept tons of full grown Chinese Algea eaters and atleast 6 Senegalus. Sometimes in same tank.

I would be cautious due to the CAE's rasping on the polys skins.
