I wish I knew
Hopefully you guys would be kind enough to give me some ideas for tankmates. I have a 75 gallon tank and currently have a Odoe or African Pike about 9 inches long. He is also living with an Ornate Bichir - which is about the same size length wise - also a Yellow Tail Cuda (Acestrorhynchus falcirostris) I plan on getting a cool Pleco to add soon but I am still wondering what else i can add to the tank. Had a few Gars in the past and they gro sooo quickly they were getting out of hand. I would have loved to just get a bigger tank but space is limited at the moment atleast for the next year or so. Let me know what you all think and I would really appreciate it.

Odoe is on my wishlist - I've got no prctical experience with this fish just what I've researched (and we all know online Charciform research can be inaccurate and confilcting)

If it were me I'd get a tank 2x2x6 at the very least for the 3 fish you own. 18" wide and 4' long is a lil' cramped IMO for those as adult specimens. Ace. Falcatus and Chalceus Macrolepidotus are readily available and won't outgrow the 75. Just to throw this in their - Apollo Sharks could work w/ smaller schooling charciforms in a 75.

Otherone, Odoe is an awesome fish and he is still rather small. I did take a closer look at him this morning and maybe not 9 inches. I appreciate the help and the Apollo sharks are something I haven’t even thought of adding to the tank. I also tried to do some extra research on the Odoe to see how quickly they grow and definitely received conflicting information on that. Hopefully this site can help me out more with his as well. The several people I did get to speak with about the Odoe said I have a good year or so before I will need to upgrade to a larger tank. Maybe I shouldn’t add anything at all if it is a tight squeeze?
