I am currently looking for a tankmate(s) for my 30g tank. I have already decided on a Senegal bichir. They seem to be bottom dwellers so i was thinking maybe a fish that enjoys the top-mid? I REALLY prefer carnivores.

I was on another post and they talked like it was OK in a 30g. I dont have one, it just seemed like a cool fish to have. They said that because it was "eel like" it wouldnt need a ton of room. Is this not true? I'm not completely set on it so I won't be too heartbroken. I just want a carnivore fish or two for my 30g tank. Any ideas?
thats it a senegal you could try an african butterfly or a Ctenopoma but a 30 is the bare minimum for a senegal by itself they are about the most active of the bichirs and they cruise the entire tank btw a senegal should reach 10-12 inches when grown
