I'm pickin up a new 75 gallon this month and already have a few things to stock it with.......i'm first putting in my three 3 inch clown loaches and my 4.5 inch EBJD..........i wanna get another cichlid to put in there with it........i know the EBJD's are supposed to be not that aggresive but mine is pretty aggresive.........what other kind of cichlid would you guys reccomend for it? if any at all? .........thanks for the help.........

I would recommend calm bottom feeders only. If you have something kill an EBJD at that size, you (or at least I) would be devastated.

yea i would too that's why i want another SA/CA cichlid but nothing insanely aggresive because the EBJD can hold his own......hes been in with my growout tank with a lot of things already like pacus, oscars, and other jd's but i just want another cichlid to compliment him...........

How about a festivum. Get a good size and not to agressive, but could probably hold its own.

i actually was thinkin about one but had never kept them so didnt know about their temperment........i was kinda thinking about a green terror too but again never kept them so i dunno...............

Festivums are peacful enough to keep with small tetras and angelfish but agressive enough to hold there own. I wouldn't try a GT.

good to know..........that's what i figured about the green terror........i might just leave the EBJD in the 40 gal he's in now and just stock the tank with new cichlids...........

I love GT's and their color would compliment an EBJD very well, I would try getting a smaller one (maybe 3.5" TFD has them in stock) so if it is aggressive, your EBJD can hold his own more easily. I have a mean GT, and a calm GT, you just never know.

that's exactly what i was thinkin ..........their colors together in a tank would be so cool........i know a guy at my lfs and im gonna talk to him when i pick the tank up about how aggresive his GTs are cuz they have a tank full of them at that size.......because then my tank could have my EBJD a GT and i could get more clown loaches............
