tankmates for a baby jag

k guys, in about a week i will be gettin a baby Jag(bout 5cm) and he will be goin in a four foot, i'm just wondering if i could get a tankmate in there that isn't too aggressive but won't take any nonsense from the jag, if there even is a fish like that.

Well, as long as you moved them to the larger tank in the right timeframe, there are quite a few you could add. I love the contrast of jags and red tiger motas in the same tank. One thing to be carefull about is only adding one tankmate. If one gets the upper hand in dominance (which will happen) he could destroy the other.

Dude its a 5cm fish in a 4' tank, dont even worry about it.

Dithers would be other fish to help displace aggression , convicts, giant danios , silver dollars, things like that.
