What, if anything, can be kept with an electric blue crayfish in a 10g tank? Could a school of tetras be quick enough to evade him or would he just pick them off at night?

they are nocturnal by nature and will creep up on a sleeping fish, but i have mine in a 55 gal with several knife fish. so far, so good. in a 10 gal, i'd think that some zebras would be great. they swim fast enough to avoid capture. I also think that zebras usually don't swim low. they tend to swim in the middle to the top area. my question is, at what level of the tank do they sleep at? i'd think that most fish sleep where they swim.

yea, depending on the size of the cray that might last a little while but he will get them eventually

Maybe I'll just get about 10 rosy reds and when they're gone I'll restock it...that way I could watch him eat fish and have some activity in the tank but not at the expense of my wallet.

great idea. good luck.

thats a good idea Its like feeders living with him. And if he doesnt eat them u got a good combo

Well I just dropped in the 10 rosy reds with my crayfish and he has already eaten one and its been about 2 minutes...So we'll go ahead and file rosy reds under food, not tankmates.
