Tankmates for clown knife

what are some good takemates for a clown?

i have a 1ft clown in a 55gal but he'll be put in a 100 long i got when i move in about a month er 2. wondering what some good tankmates would be that he wont try to murder:)

well the 100 was given to me buy someone who was movin outta country so i already got it. yeah i know he'll out grow that sucker quick, but it'll hold him for a bit...little bit
 
ok good that you know, there are sooo many that have no clue as to size that ck can reach. as far as tankmates go i have an 18" ck thats in with 6" cichlids to a 20" aro with no probs, but my ck has had tankmates its whole life. since yours is 12" already maybe you could try some tinfoil barbs at first,atleast 4"ers, they are fairly cheap so if you loose one to the ck it wont be so bad. if that works then id go for basically anything it cant fit in its mouth.
 
Dats, Aros, Oscars, Catfish, etc. Really depends on how aggressive your knife is. Knives are pretty hit and miss with aggression. Most CKs are pretty mellow in my experience.
 
Just an FYI...my 12" RCK was doing great in a 180 with a Silver Aro, Gar, and Dat....till the Aro died then he declared himself king and dang near killed my Dat. Be warned that the fish you put him with should be bigger or trouble could follow.
