Tankmates for Hujeta gar's.

Im moved my hujeta gars in a new 55 gal tank. I was wondering what would be other good tankmates would fit well with these guys, i want to get another predatory fish, perhaps another Characin, something thats look somewhat like the hujeta's themselves. They are 4-5" each.

My hujeta ate my Yellow Tail Barracuda or Ace. Falcirostris when I introduced them to each other. I'm not taking another risk with a Hujeta killing my favorite fish again.

Hujetas don't go for fish too big to eat -> your fault, size difference was too big

Here's a pic of my little Hujeta Gar I just picked up.

He's growing out in my 29g (that will eventually be a breeding tank for feeders) until he goes in with the Needlenose in the 90g.

Yes they are. I picked up another one today. They seem happy, hanging out together. Once they get bigger, they'll enjoy hanging out with my Needlenose Gars.
