Vieja Breidohri and Parachromi loisellei both about 1.5inch -2inch in 55gallon grow out tank. Wanna add another tankmate for them

I believe the fast growth of both species, will make that 55 gal too small, (for even the two species), in a short couple months.
These....
quickly become these, and a 55 will be too small for only a few of them alone.

And these (below) will easily end up like their close cousin.

a small female below

Thanks for your reply. Eventually they both will go into much larger tank but for now there in a grow out tank . Both species are slow growth rate and both reach about 12inch max... btw the bottom picture is RTM (FEMALE) the one I have is parachromis loisellei- (gold and black)

That's why I said "close cousin".
And I have not found either to be slow growers in my tanks.

Okay. I just read on here both that both were but I'm hoping they aren't.. Any possible tankmates for them you would recommend?

Do you have the large tank now? If so, what size? If not it takes time to buy, set up and cycle a large tank. If you don’t have a tank or even know what size you are getting-I wouldn’t add anything.
IMO a grow out tank should be used to grow out fish you want to add to an established tank. Shouldn’t be for a tank you don’t own yet.
