Im going to be investing in some L numbers soon and was wondering what suitable chiclids would their be for them? :)

Cheers,

Fishpaste.

Do you know what plecs or cichilds you are going to be looking for? That would help out in the decision.

more info needed. so many different cichlids from different parts of the world, so many different species of pleocs, there are too many variables. Also some species of pleco dont get on with some cichlids now and again...
do you have a rough start on what you were thinking ?

I'll third that. Not only are the types of fish important, but the water chemistry. The colors on many plecos are not as vibrant in higher pH levels.

well yea, i'd never mix african cichlids with plecos, it doesnt work too well for a number reasons, water chemistry for one of them, and with them being such an easy target for pleco food

i want to discourage you from taking cichlids and plecos. Ive had them combined and that isnt a succes. The cichlids are fast eaters and will soon learn to pick up the food you throw in for the plecs. This will result in a huge number of pellets you need the feed as the cichlids will also take more they can handle. I was annoyed till the level i just had to get rid of the cichlids, even tho they are beautiful and cool fish. A lot of people might say something else but this is my experience.
