I have a 120 gallon tank with two Tiger Oscars. One is about 10" while the other is around 7-8".

Anyway, I was thinking of adding a third fish but knowing how Oscars are I figure my options are limited. What can I add that will get along with two Oscars?

i had the same pre-dicament and decided on a Firemouth..great addition they get along great!

Hmm, that sounds like a great idea, hadn't thought of it.

What about a Midas or Jaguar Cichlid?

Too mean, and too big for your tank that already has 2 oscars. Severum, blue acara, firemouth, silver dollars, polypterus, Geo Brazilensis, Etc. All might work. They would need to be large enough to not get eaten. I wouldn't add more much more. 2 large oscars can overload your filtration real quick.

i have 2 Red Hooks and a Royal Clown Knife with my 2 O's .. and they are doing great.. red hooks are just to fast for the O's .. and the RCK attacks the o's if they get to close .. so i have no problems .. (as long as the 2 O's leave each other alone that is :-p)

NOT another Cichlid. The tank's just big enough for the 2 Oscars. Not to mention you may start having problems with those 2 getting along in the coming months because they're just now reaching sexual maturity. If anything I'd put in some Silver Dollars, they're good at cleaning up what comes out the Oscar's gills at feeding time.

I just added two Hoplo catfish to my tank. I also have a male Salvini in there with the two oscars.

The two oscars are actually very friendly and usually stay close together wherever they swim. For a while I thought they were going to spawn because they were digging up pitts in the gravel but they'd never actually spawn. They're still a couple though heh.

The Firemouth or the Silver Dollars sounds good though.
