to make cichlids work, you have to overcrowd it a lil, its a hit or miss !
Agreed, overcrowding spreads aggression and helps most of the time, assuming you have the filter to handle the bioload. Also depends on the personality of the fish. I have heard of people having extremely aggressive gt's on the other hand my gt is the largest in the tank and is a big pushover.

You could add a jack dempsey. The only problem that might happen is if the GT's decide to spawn, they will take over the tank.

Just realized no one has really mentioned any tankmates. Well i have a convict, 2x firemouths, a carpintis hybrid(not really sure exactly what he is but looks cool), couple of native crayfish, red devil( another fish to watch out for cuz some are extremely aggressive) there are some ghost shrimp as clean up crew i believe, unless they have been eaten by now. a single festae may be possible just depends on the individual fish. All these are with my 7 in and 5 in gt.

ok,the jack dempsey looks nice, is this an easy cichlid ? What diet ?

And a Texas ?

So over crowd the tank to spread aggrasion... ok
But i have a 120G With allready a few big fish in there how many fish can i add
that will reach 25cm ?

Sorry for my bad english..
