tankmates question

i was planning to upgrade my tank to 100g and i was wondering if an australian arowana( probably starting at 6 inches) can live together (maybe even peaceful) with an 8inches alpha male frontosa, a 5inches frontosa, an ornate bichir and an albino bichir, :confused: :confused: due to the fact that aus. aro is way more aggressive than other aros ( i have a baby silver)
 
It's more trial and error, but I wouldn't do it. Mixing fish from differant parts of the world can be a hassle, and an austrailian Aro is likely to kill it's tankmates.

Jardini, Australian arows, whatever you call them.....Personally, I found them to be aggressive towards any tankmate....Plus, if you got one with great color and shape, make him a showcase, not a community fish....:thumbsup:
 
I agree with both of the above, and they will eventually need a larger home.
The bigger the tank, the less chance of agression there is IME

How much did the frontosa cost ya and how large can they get?
 
Jardini get very aggressive after the 6" mark attacking almost everything around them. IMHO i would not do it.
 
my pair of frontosa cost me $35 back then when they were 1 or 2 inches smaller, but i think u can hardly find this price for the same size at fish store, lfs around my area barely have any big frontosa. one is the dominant male. they can grow big so is the bump on the male's head. i saw some grew up to a foot or longer.:drool:
 
thank you guys for the info. i was just always wanted to have an aro with the shape of an asian aro LOL since i cant get a real asian aro :cry: :cry: maybe ill go for black but then have to wait till the season
