What other cichlids could be kept in a community with Geos? The geo are steidachneri (sp??) Balzini and labiatius. I was thinking maybe Firemouths since they are not too aggressive. Not to sure on tank size yet but I’m thinking 150 with sand substrate.

Rays are great, Dats can be good, More Geos!

I have 4 Geos(Balzani, Altifrons) in a tank with 2 NTT dats, Glass knifefish, Retic Ray, Guinacara, and some dithers... Geos are awesome! GOod Luck

Also Archer fish would be cool, maybe a Leaf Fish..

Geos are fairly peaceful, and will usually not be bothered by some aggressive fish.

:iagree:
True. You might be surprised but even being a relatively peaceful fish geos are not usually pushed around by bigger more aggressive fish. They don't fight back, but are pretty good at avoiding conflicts. Ive seen them in tanks with GTs, JDs, LMB, and even a 16"+ snakehead (back in the good old days) that was basically killing everything in that tank, except for the one 6" geo.

I kept my Red Tapajos with Fire barbs, the Geo left them alone, even though he could have easily owned them.

cool thanks for the ideas. Sounds like I can do about anything except RD', red terrors and such. Might actually try smaller community type fish. Hadn't thought of that yet. Maybe a bunch of rainbowfish or something. TOO MANY CHOICES:nilly: :nilly:

Have 3 Satanoperca jurupari in with Rainbow Cichlids and Severums and have 2 Geophagus surinamensis in with Bolivian Rams and Congo Tetras. The G. surinamensis are very peaceful and don't seem to bother other fish or each other. The S. jurupari scrap a bit among themselves but generally ignore the other fish, the Severums sometimes chase them a bit but have never hurt them.

I wanna see everyones Geo Pics, especially those Surinamensis!

But again, get more Geos! and breed!
