Hey guys.
I am in the process of setting up a 120g tank, 4x2x2, which I may use to temporarily house a pair of reticulated stingrays. I know what sort of fish they could be housed with, but I want your opinions. These are some of the fish I have considered:
Herichthys Pearsei
Vieja Synspilum
Uaru Amphiacanthoides
Discus
Lemon-Fin Barb
Leopard Ctenopoma
Archocentrus Sajica

I appreciate all other suggestions. The main thing I'm looking for here is which fish and how many of the ones you choose.
Thanks!

I have heard that there is a "true" and "fake" uaru. Only the true uaru can be kept with rays as the fake ones will pick at the eyes. Your going to have to ask somebody with more experience about that because I have no experience with either. Discus can be pretty hit or miss, I have heard about rays that have eaten the eyes out of discus!! Leopard barbs are probably on the small size and may evetually end up as food. Some severums and clown loaches would be nice. thats what I keep with my ray.

btw, love your signature lol

if you can get ahold of uaru fernandezyepezi i would recomend them. they are very nice looking fish and work well with my retics, but are tough to find.

I really like clown loaches. I'll look more into discus.
Thanks for the help, and the signature compliment.

Ok, thanks.
How is the other species of uaru?

Anybody have any other opininions?

I have a silver Arowana in with my retic and all is well. I wouldn't try it with a Jardini, though. Those fish are real bastards sometimes.

The only problem with that is that a silver aro wouldn't be happy in a 120g indefinitely, and when I upgrade the rays will be kept alone.
