both of those fish might work but it depends on individual fish some fm are shy others a pushy and some are complete buttholes same with jacks
you could probably get away with a pair of firemouths in a large tank but a pair of jacks dempseys would be to aggressive you might be bale to keep a single jack dempsey with them but it may be to aggressive a single fire mouth would be fine
You could probably do any combo in a 125g with the exception of a pair of Dempseys. If you ended up with a breeding pair of Dempseys, you would most likely end up with a dead Uaru.
arent uara ment to be kept in groups?? personally id rather a pair of dempseys, pair FM's and maybe a female jag or summin.

and am contemplating what else
trying to get several ideas so i have backups in case i can't find everything i want
