tankmates!!

Knifes and Arows are fine do you want tank mates for Arowana or Knifes I take it for the Arowana. It along the lines of the tank mates should not be looked at as dinner. We need to know how big you tank is? I have had Knifes, Oscars, large cats, Big Clown Loaches when I had my one the list goes on it is down to tank size. The problem is it was to big for the 6x2x2 it was in and when you serviced the tank it went mental. If you look on here there is a multitude of Arowana owners on here and they have them with all sorts. :thumbsup:
 
:iagree: Anything larger than its mouth and not too much agressive is fine with them. That's the same for aros and knifes. The only limitation is the tank size. :D

Good tankmates for arowana:
Clown or Royal Knife

Bad tankmates (IMO)
Large Carapo or Aba-Aba knife

What kind of knife were you considering?
 
not all aros will tolerate knives. I am fighting it right now. my 17" silver is not liking sharing his space with a 15" royal clown.
 
:iagree: I saw a silver aro and a CK that grew together in the same tank become not so friendly with one another. The silver started to bite and hurt the knife SERIOUSLY, and kept doing it every time the CK came back to the tank. It got REALLY hurt sometimes.
